A Fish Out Of Water
Marion Thomas
Like a fish I thrive in my own environment
Out of it, I die a slow, painful death
Oxygen-starved, gasping for air due to the fear
Of failure and rejection
Nervous
Sweaty
Amidst a room full of strangers
Convulsing before their feet
Until I expire
Look at me.
