In June of 1992, I met the man of my dreams. He appeared out of nowhere, like a knight with shining armor would appear through the mist riding on a giant black stallion.

I know, I know... I am a romantic through and through. But the fact remains... he swept me off my feet. The relationship grew very quickly and by the end of that summer I was in love. Chris Draucker became my companion, my confidant and my very best friend.

On November 18, 1995, we were married. The wedding was small but very meaningful. My sister Diane, my niece Kimberly, and his sister Jenny were my attendants. My daughter Jessica was the flower girl. Some of Chris' best friends were his groomsmen--Pat, Danny, Sean and Jimmy. My nephew James gave me away (we're the same age).

All of our family and closest friends were at the wedding, which made it small but extra special. My uncle, a retired Baptist preacher, performed the ceremony. One of our good friends from church sang "Household of Faith" and "I Will Be Here." Before I came into the church I sang "Wind Beneath My Wings"--a song that defines our relationship perfectly.

Chris and I enjoy alot of things together. Before I became a "baby machine," we spent alot of time playing golf, going to movies, shopping and traveling. We have been on some fantastic trips.  We cruised to the Bahamas on two occasions, visited Disney World several times, watched the Braves play in Atlanta, and recently flew to Puerto Rico and took a cruise to St. Thomas and St. Maarten.

We both enjoy football and baseball. Our favorites are Penn State Football and Atlanta Braves Baseball. Recently we have enjoyed taking the kids to various state parks around Georgia. There are many beautiful places to visit in this state.

Chris loves to play golf, although with his work schedule, he doesn't get to play much. I think he is a very good golfer. He taught me how to play. I look forward to the time when we are able to play more together.

In November we celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary. It has been a very quick but busy five years. We have brought three lovely children into the world and raised Jessica to teenager status (God help us... ). She has turned out to be a beautiful young woman.

Chris and I have remained best friends and our relationship grows stronger more and more each day. I thank God for my "better half" and all he does for me and for our family.
