"Teenager!"

JESSICA

Jessica is our oldest child. Living with a teenager sometimes seems exciting and other times quite depressing. It is difficult watching her grow up so quickly.
Jessica at one year
Jessica was a typical little girl: beautiful, sweet, smart and happy all of the time. She loved to sing songs and recite nursey rhymes. Some of my fondest memories are of when she played outside on her swing set. She would stand at the top of the sliding board and, pretending nature was her audience, she'd sing as loud as she could. Then she would ask me, "How's that moma?" Of course, it was always terrific!

Well, she is not quite that little girl anymore. She
has grown up to be a beautiful and special young lady. Her beauty is so much more than just skin deep. She is a Christian, full of compassion for others. She is a leader, not afraid to do her own thing. She speaks her mind, no matter the situation. She is creative, imaginative and resourceful.
The Big 13
Jessica enjoys cheerleading, softball, swimming and of course, watching TV (music videos... and, oh yes, House of Style). When she's not busy on the phone with her friends, she is surfing the Net.
Jessica is a very special young lady. I've always called her my "Sunshine" because she's much more than a daughter; she's also a special friend. I look forward to the next few years as she matures into a young adult. I pray that God will keep her in His hands and help her as she faces not only the struggles of this life, but the great wonders and possibilities that are hers for the taking.
