Crêpes are what French people eat for Mardi Gras or "Fat Tuesday." Mardi Gras is the Tuesday before Ash Wednesday in the Christian Calendar. Ash Wednesday marks the beginning of Lent. During Lent, Christians should not eat any fatty foods. When the tradition of "Fat Tuesday" started, the day before this period of restriction started, Christians used to have feasts. This is how that day got its name!

We decided to do a small fund raising by celebrating Mardi Gras and eating something very French and very traditional. Next year, come and taste them too!
