Brit Lit I: Be ready to discuss "The Way of the World" on Monday. See the Exercise page for final paper topics.

HEL: We will wrap up loose ends and review on Monday. See revised syllabus! For homework, complete any 5 questions on the OED handout, and any five words from 9.2 and 9.9 (handout). To complete these assignments, you will need to consult the Oxford English Dictionary, available through Galileo, and the Dictionary of American Regional English.

English 1102: "Othello" quiz on Thursday. See the Exercise page for Essay Four topics!

For extra credit, you can watch a movie version on either "Othello" or "The Importance of Being Earnest" and write a brief critique of the film. You need to choose a version other than the ones we watch in class.
